STATEMENT FROM MPP WILL BOUMA, BRANTFORD-BRANT

March 16, 2020

The health and wellbeing of Ontarians is our government’s top priority. Since we first learned of COVID-19 as an emerging public health issue, Ontario has been diligently monitoring the developing plans to protect the health and well-being of all Ontarians. We are taking action to ensure readiness and respond to a range of outbreak scenarios. I am announcing that my Constituency Office on Nelson Street in Brantford is open for email and phone inquiries – walk-in visits have been suspended until further notice. We are trying to balance a sense of normal life with the advice of public health authorities to prevent the possible spread of COVID-19.

If you feel unwell (cough, fever, breathing difficulties), contact your health care provider, public health unit or Telehealth Ontario at 1-866-797-0000 or the Brantford General Hospital hotline (519)751-5818.

If you need emergency medical attention you should call 911 and mention your travel history and symptoms.

Visit Ontario’s website (Ontario.ca/coronavirus) to learn more about how the province continues to protect Ontarians from COVID-19.

My staff remains available to address any Provincial inquiry that you may have: phone (519) 759-0361 or email will.bouma@pc.ola.org.

We will continue to work with partners at every level to ensure the health and safety of Ontarians remains the top priority.

Thank you,
Will Bouma MPP
